Why Opera generates Message ID from computer name?
Is there a way to force it to create message id form from the news server's FQDN or the DUN.Thanks in advance.
Is it your news server?
Opera attempts to use your FQDN, if it can't find one then it uses your computer name to make its "best guess" at your FQDN. You can manually edit the saved FQDN in the file accounts.ini in the mail folder, but Opera will attempt to verify this setting - if you choose a real FQDN and its DNS address doesn't match your IP address then Opera will change it back. Hence if you try to change it to a news server that you don't own, it won't work. Of course, if you pick some totally meaningless name that Opera can't find in the DNS, that will be accepted - if you want Opera not to use your real domain name, that is the only way you can do so.
