Upgraded- feels like a big mistake- consistent crashing

Hello, I've used Opera exclusively for many years- it's my favorite browser.

Things had been going just fine until the past few days when Opera started crashing multiple times throughout the day. Also, for some reason Youtube videos would not load. Firefox ( I hate it) worked just fine.

So I upgraded to the latest version of Opera last night and it's all been downhill from there.

Not only can I not log in to my Yahoo email- I can't even get the Yahoo website to load ! , I start up firefox and it works just fine. Cant vist ehow.com either, firefox works just fine. I deleted my Yahoo cookies earlier and that worked temporarily, but I shouldn't have to delete my cookies to visit any website.

I'm not too bright, but it seems to me that if I upgrade Opera and that prevents me from even visiting Yahoo- someone at Opera has overlooked something pretty major. I could be wrong, but it's just not acceptable.

...and to top it all off- even after upgrading, Opera is still crashing periodically.

Opera was hands down the best browser, but right now it' s not even practical for me to even attempt to use it.

What gives?

Not trying to be rude, but this just isn't acceptable behavior for a any browser, I'm shocked an update would be released that SEEMS to be a step backwards.

I am absolutely stunned, and am embarrassed I recommended Opera to so many people.

Some people don't need to try — it just comes naturally.

YouTube videos are loading OK for me. Updating the flash plugin might help. I have version 10,0,45,2 installed.

No problem here browsing ehow.com or yahoo.com — I can't comment about Yahoo mail. Try a search of this forum for "yahoo".

If the crashes are consistent then it should be easy to tell us on which sites and loading which links they occur. There are some signs that your system was in a mess before you upgraded, so that's not going to change if you upgrade. That's not to say there are no problems with the latest version — a quick browse of this forum will tell you there are, but not all users are having the same problems, and most can be resolved if we can diagnose the cause.

You could try a clean install into a new folder.
