Opening HTML files from network share - transfers file name to Google

I can open HTML files from a network share (e.g. \\nas\index.html) with Internet Explorer (it displays as \\nas\index.html there) and Firefox (it displays there), but I cannot open in Opera. Opera opens the Google website and searches for it. This happens when I double click the file, drag'n'drop it to Opera or even open it via File/Open.
This is a security issue, because it transfers some of my network internals to Google and maybe people will receive it as suggestions for their search terms!

How to open a HTML file from a network share with Opera? It works only when I manually enter . But actually I don't want to enter all my network share URLs manually.

Windows XP SP 3, Opera 10.51 (probably upgraded from 10.10)

Open->File->[c:\tmp.html]
Opens the file as:

Open->File->[c:\tmp x.html]
Opens the file as:

Open->File->[\\remote\me\tmp.html]
Opens the file as:

Open->File->[\\remote\me\tmp x.html]
Opens the file as: http://74.125.87.105/search?client=opera&rls=en&q=%5C%5Cremote%5Cme%5Ctmp+x.html&sourceid=opera&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8

In the address bar:
Opens the file correctly.

This looks like a problem with Opera interpreting spaces in the file name on remote file systems, or perhaps Samba isn't playing nice.
