When Do you Really think Apple will accept Opera Mini!!!! Heres the Answer!!!
NEVER!!!!!!!!!! we will NEVER see Opera on iPhone... and this is not a personal opinion because im crazy about it, but its just the law of Apple.... I just discovered that Steve Jobs and his A.L.B.A crew... oops... Apple crew just banned iDroid Mini, this browser was free for a weekend and it had a slight idea of what Opera could come up with, imagine iDroid needed aLOT of work because it didnt work on background and it wasnt able to access google latitude... and even with those silly mistakes Apple banned the app from the AppStore, so with this movement from Steve I just lost any hope in having Opera on the iPhone.By Apple banning iDroid i think:

Sadly you might be right about Opera mini not being allowed on the Iphone because of the law but hopefully it will be allowed soon
The Museatlantis Corporation.
The iPhone is Apple's cash cow. Period. They (Apple) have set the tariffs for mobile operators, they don't want to lose out on anything.
When I was looking for a mobile upgrade I was offered the iPhone for £100+ up-front on a 24 month contract at £40:00 pm. When I asked "Why so high?" I was quietly told that the operators have no control over the tariffs on the iPhone.
So I decided to get a Nokia N900 instead.

So here's what I wanna know:
How is Apples behavior with the iPhone *not* something to be subject to anti-competative laws in much the same way that MS had to offer a ballot screen for other browsers?
I *really* don't understand why so many people are that into the iPhone. Neverminding all of its shortcomings from a hardware perspective, but I can only load apps that Apple approves???
What would have happened if MS started it's OS that way?
Oh, I suppose you can load whatever you want if you have a developers license for the iPhone...
I don't suppose Opera would make the Opera Mini for the iPhone available to other iPhone developers to...um...beta test?
Not that I have one, but I know a couple people who have Dev status with the iPhone and they are quite jealous of my "dumb phone" that can have tabbed browsing, etc. thanks to Opera.

Strongly agree with steph68, as far as im concerned apple takes 2 weeks with the popular apps to be released on the AppStore, Opera is definetly one of em' and its 19 days and counting... and still NOT APPROVED, plus i've read on different sites about multitask on new software 4.0, in my comprehension, Safari will never stop working if you let the app on background so it will technically do what Opera promised, charging big amounts of data to our cellphone monthly bill, so that way Apple will still have no competition. The same treatment was given to google , with latitude (web crappy app), Google voice (still waiting for approval), iDroid (banned with a week in the AppStore) etc... as you all know apple is in a huge fight with google, removing it from 4.0 firmware this summer, instead of having google well have BING... and changing google case to search, what I still dont get is why OPERA doesnt get in the iPhone by CYDIA!!! like google voice!!! or just go ahead like MJOY and create an ipa that can be charged on the iPhone by iTunes on jailbroken devices with appsync installed, surviving with ads, but well, I cant get alot of things in this world, i think ill just add this to my list.
