Delete Private Data issue

(New forum member here. My search did not reveal a topic addressing this issue yet, my apologies if I missed any.)

In Opera 10.51 and previous versions that I have used, Delete Private Data with all checkbox options checked does not delete the value of the last folder which was used for saving an image. Is this information stored in the registry or elsewhere?

hi Welcome to the Opera Community.

It is stored under [Saved Settings] section in operaprefs.ini file inside Opera directory.

Thanks for the info. I see it also preserves the value of the last 'Open Dir'. sad

Did you delete it after closing Opera?

Not yet, I'll try that. I plan to add a customization to Cyberscrub Privacy Suite to delete that file.

I assume you mean the folder and all subfolders?

no Delete the Save Dir and Open Dir lines under [Saved Settings] in operaprefs.ini after closing Opera.

Oh, ok. Unfortunately Cyberscrub customization options do not lend itself to that kind of action -- the choices are to delete a file, folder(s) or a Registry entry. sad

Delete the line manually, and then make the file Read Only, and see if that works.
