Boxes covering page

When I hover my mouse over a link on a web page or a tab I get a box appear with the full http address.
Sometimes the address is so long and the box is so big that it covers a lot of the page,
Can I turn off this feature so that when my mouse is on a link nothing pops up.
Thanks
Brenda

Tooltips? Sure, you can turn them off (under Preferences > Advanced > Browsing), though unless you've disabled the status bar you don't normally see them anyway. (Opera figured that if URLs are being shown in the status bar then the tooltip is redundant.)

Many thanks again.
I shall have to change the skin as you suggested as I can't see the options in the preferences.
Thank you again for the reply

I changed the skin and made the changes and that worked fine.
I can now change back to the skin I like and if I need to make any more changes in preferences I can just change back and forth the skins !!
Excellent !!
