Last question on tabs

Is there a setting that I can use to make a new tab open in the background rather than switching straight to it.
I cannot see an option as the options for tabs have disappeared ( see two posts below this one)

How did you manage it Brenda?
I use the middle mouse button click on a link
Or You can also right click a link and choose "Open in Background Tab"
Ot you can use a gesture.
