Content block

I use a forum/website for lots of things...
But lately,it got some things that i don't like...like ads.
Usualy,i just press right click -> Block content ,i hold shift and i just press once on the images that i want to block.
And it automatcly blocks those images.

But that doesnt allways work.
Some ads change links, and the ads come back in.
An example is on http://www.piratebay.org .
The same ads that i block, come back.
I tryed to block the main adress, but that didnt worked.
So,any advices on how to block them, permanently?

And to come back to the main ideea, about the site i mentioned.
Here is a screenshot of what i want to make it dissapear.
It's a text bar,and it kinda stays in the way.
How do i make it dissapear?

extra-download-links.js - Should help finding URLs via the link panel. You can also use Dragonfly to hunt for URLs.

I usually use the Info panel and look for scripts used to insert the ads.

It worked.
Thanks a lot guys...it did exactly what i needed:it blocked a whole frame [but not the link]
The link blocking will not be a problem, cause i can block it directly by adding the ip of the site to hosts file.

Thanks once again for the help.

I "raise" this thread, cause my problem is back.
This time,it works,but when i refresh,or close/open it,it just shows the ads back.

I used this : http://my.opera.com/Lex1/blog/index.dml/tag/adblock

So,why do they reappear again[after i refresh/open],after i block the ad ?

Well?Any ideeas on why the ads/spaces that i block come back after a refresh?

Cause i really need that "back up and running",cause i use a pretty huge ammount of websites, that needs some stuff "cut out" for various reasons [one of them is reloading time, wich slightly increases when more ads are blocked]

So,please,someone help me out here...

i see you are using lex1 adblock+

do you use the buttons provided? if yes then block an ad then confirm after it

then reload the page

that will work
Windows 7 Professional SP1 x86
AMD Atlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+
2.0 GB RAM
GeForce 9400 GT(301.42 Stable Driver)
All Latest Drivers and Latest Windows Updates.
Using 11.64(Stable) and Soon 12 Final when it release.

I tried that.

After I select the stuff i dont want,i press Accept changes ...
But after i refresh, they just reappear.

I thought it might be because i installed that stuff from my desktop, then moved it to My Documents.
But then i installed it from there,so,it shouldnt be a problem, right?

The thing is,after refreshing,it just comes back.

I hate to "bump" this thread, but i REALLY hate those ad space, and the location of them.
I mean,i daily use some websites, that has nasty flash ads on them.
All nice & stuff, just that they take up A LOT of loading time + takes up usefull space, and makes the websites more "nasty" and "big".

So,i'll try to explain better, maybe some of you didnt understood good enough:
I "installed" this http://my.opera.com/Lex1/blog/index.dml/tag/adblock
I have no ideea how i installed it,i just pressed random stuff around there, and opened what i could. So,maybe there had to be in a way ?
But,the thing is,that i allready have adblock added on my right click on opera,as you can see here : http://i49.tinypic.com/vg7rk7.jpg .
BUT,i manage to block the ads, even the nasty spaces that are left,i stay on the website [not refreshing] and it stays that way.
After i refresh, the websites comes back to me with the same ads [some i managed to block them with Content Block] but i still have the spaces, and some nasty flash ads wich wont disappear that easily.

So PLEASE guys,i really need to fix this problem.

Well,thanks for nothing ...
I knew that i should re-read that page again.I read it like 20-30 times.Is that enough ?
Last time i didnt understood anything [not that i got something now] and i installed it by luck.

The worst part is that i cant block them even temporarily now, cause i updated Opera yesterday, and the adblock is gone...

rtfm. For Opera 10.5+ just use "Userjs-only version"and simple add buttons on any panel.

Before User JavaScript can run in Opera, you must enable the feature by pointing Opera to your User JavaScript directory
Create a directory for storing User JavaScript files, for instance C:\Opera\userjs\
Go to Tools -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Content -> JavaScript Options. Add the location of your newly created script directory to My JavaScript files.
