Remove Inspect Element Menu Items

This is of no use for the average user and only leads to problems for them if they accidentally select it. Developers, by definition, should know how to add this item to their menus if they want it, but the average user does not know how to remove it, or what to do to turn off the dragonfly frame if it is invoked by mistake.

It is a headache for support, and of use to a tiny minority of Opera users.

Add an option under "Show window menu" option to show this command in the context menus, disabled it by default.
Then web developers can gain easy access to this command by enabled this option, & the average user won't need to fuss with it...

+1, rather annoying for normal browsing imo. Devs know how to start Dragonfly (hopefully) where they have an element selection by hover anyhow.

I sometimes use this to check some info in the elements, so would be a hassle for me to remove this.
Rather, I'd like the possibility of deciding what should be in Opera's context menu.
I'd remove about half of the options and add some new ones, if possible.

JoakimIK: you can always edit the menu.ini to do some greater modifications

Well, I voted yes, but I guess most people don't need it, so I'd suggest Opera should just ship with an addition "developers" toolbar.ini...
Using Windows 7 64Bit SP1 and of course Opera
(If nothing else stated the most current weekly) on a nice Dell Studio XPS 16!

I voted NO because i use it very often.
Instead put it above the Image Properties. Inspect Element on the bottom is the main reason why users complain... It was annoying even for me so i rearranged it myself.

That's true! Most people don't use "open in new window", but they don't complain, because it's somewhere in the middle.

And PLEASE add a good icon (maybe a dragonfly) to it!

Reply to other thread: Figured since you have your own site that you would use it.

This thread: Couldn't they hide it under the Feature modifier for menu items like:
Feature Voice, ...
Feature Mail, ...
Feature Feeds, ...
Feature Developer, ...

Then have a "Developer" mode that will enable that feature (and probably have them always visible under "Tools - Advanced" as well)... seems like the best solution, don't have to switch the whole toolbar.ini that way.

If you want to remove these Inspect Element items, try my Customised Menu, which removes a lot of other geekish stuff too, and generally simplifies the menu set up, while adding other items that you may find useful. At least, it will give you some ideas for customising your own menus.
