Can't Make Blog Posts

I've been having a problem since yesterday where I can't make blog posts from Opera Mini. Has anyone else had this problem so I can confirm it's a Mini problem? Or should I be reporting on the Feedback forum?

If it happens when you have the editor open for quite long time before you submit, then it's Opera Mini 5 related bug. There has been some issues of peeps not being able to submit the form. Sometimes when you click submit, you loose everything aka nothings posted. Personally I have seen this happen when I have spent quite some time for editing.

Somewhat similar thing happens when trying to upload photos to albums. Connection may just fail suddenly and upload interrupted.

I recall someone has even filled bug report wizard for this, but it's very hard to replicate awww Therefore no much point to post bug reports. All we can do is whine about it here on forums.

Problem solved - it was down to the way Mini processes copied text. A quote I'd copied for a post had an invisible symbol in it that crapped out the post editor. Fixed it now so I can post, but it's broken the original post that's up so that Espen had to have it removed directly from the server (and will again as I e-mailed a cut down version through with the same problems).

Yeah, the text field problem introduced with Mini final is a pain in the arse. I usually copy my text, reload the page then paste it in and submit. They've really messed up Mini 5 since the quite excellent second beta haven't they. awww

I've never been able to upload anything via Mini 5 to any site, including to Gmail for e-mail attachments(*). All that arrives on the other end is a zero-byte file.

(*) Oops, I take that back; my uploads of file names have always been successful! lol

The developers know about the form posting "issue" (aka bug). So does every new forum member, eventually. It's the bug that made Mini 5 famous! wink

Set up Opera to use SOCKS instead of HTTP. I spend 2 days troubleshooting this problem on my Nexus. If you use SOCKS the problem does not occur, if you use HTTP files seem to arrive all screwed up on the other side. This seems to be only when the text that acoompany the post has any symbols.

No, not a solution. I've been using the socket option since the first day I used Mini 5 (it was the default after installation), and not a day has gone by without those posting problems.

Yeah it doesn't matter if u use socket or http the problem persists with text dissapearing after clicking out of the box or after u submit....also I have the same issue with uploading images to any sites it just doesn't happen...the server will time out or a connection error will happen....I've also noticed that opera mini renders a good 50 percent of websites w essential things missing...I also have experienced opera freezing and all u can use is the adress bar u can't go backwards or forwards access bookmarks speedial or close the application...and us blackberry users know what a pain it is to do a battery pull and wait for 5 minutes for the phone to reboot...all these problems make this browser only usable to view websites....not good for typing text anywhere or uploading anything....and its sad because I hate blackberry's lame browser but alas I have to keep using it...I've heard blackberry's maker RIM doesn't like to share with 3rd party developers...I'm sure this doesn't make it easy to come out with a bug free application...if this is true than rim is no better than the empire known as microsoft

Oh also notice sites with a lot of images hate opera mini...or the other way around. Some times all most or some of the images will fail to load...even if you have enabled opera to display images...

Does it happen on all pages or mostly large ones? In the latter case it might be memory shortage.

I guess bb has enough memory to view any web page with images. So it shouldnt be a memory issue.
I have heard that mini is slow and lags on bb.
