Downoad Box Not Remembering Program

Hi
I have Opera 10.51 and like it a lot, my problem is the downloads box will not allow me to tick the 'Remember choice and do not show dialog again' The result is every time I want to open a file I'm always asked which program I would like to use which is quite irritating, any help would be appreciated.
I posted this earlier but can't seem to find it , if I'm in the wrong forum apologies.

IIRC you posted in the Feedback forum which is for feedback aboout the My Opera web sites, so your thread apparently got deleted.

Go to preferences, downloads, MIME types, and check out the MIME types for the files you're trying to download, open, etc.

Thanks for the reply, I checked the MIME types before I posted the thread, everything seems OK the files are opening but only after I confirm which program to use, even the files which are opened by Opera, the 'Remember choice' text is permanently greyed out, as stated only an irritation but still annoying.

Are you talking about downloads or opening attachments to emails? If it is downloads, then a link to a page with a download that exhibits this problem would help. If it email attachments, then what file type?

Email attachments, I've tried wmv, jpeg and bmp at present and they all exhibit the same problem, I suspect it would be the same with all file types

Here, JPG images are set to open with Opera.
I sent myself an email with a JPG image attached
II clicked on the attachment button and selected open
The JPG image opened in a new tab as expected[/url]
