FYI: AT&T/Yahoo ISP DIAL-UP is (part of) my problem...
Hi All,Recently - coincidentally with Opera 10.5X - I've had problems with UNREACHABLE, or GLACIALLY SLOW, websites as noted on the forum, esp. like Yahoo Mail which USUALLY works fine with FF, IE, and Chrome when Opera doesn't.
Why is AT&T/Yahoo ISP DIAL-UP (part of) my problem?
Recent problems are EXACTLY why I dropped AT&T as my ISP some years ago for SBC/Yahoo when I and many others were complaining about AT&T's DETERIORATING DIAL-UP SERVICE.
Now that AT&T has taken over SBC/Yahoo it appears it's 'deja vu, all over again.' Apparently AT&T wants people to move over to DSL (and spend more $).
A usual 'fix' for (part of) my problem is to dial an ALTERNATE AT&T/Yahoo (LOCAL) DIAL-UP ACCESS NUMBER. It's usually like 'night and day.'
