Bookmark+nickname problem
1. I have a bookmark with a nickname in Opera (I have it from old versions of opera)2. I change de URL of the bookmark from the bookmark properties
3. I start to type the nickname in the address bar and select the right bookmark from the suggestions.
4. It goes to the old URL that I had changed... (!)
I have reported the bug...

Another user at Japanese language forum has recently reported of the same issue (still present in 10.61) and asking if bug report needs to be filed.
[Update]
According to an Opera Japan staff the devs did get the report, have already identified the issue and fixed it in an internal build. Good news

Want to send me a message? Send it to mimismum(at)myopera.com (not mimi_s_mum etc)
Looking for Opera 12.16 or earlier? Try
http://www.opera.com/download/guide/?custom=yes ,
http://get.geo.opera.com/pub/opera/win or
ftp://ftp.opera.com/pub/opera/win

Just open your bookmarks.adr in a text editor and find the old URL.

So where the hell does Opera get the old URL from? There must be some file which must have old URL stored in it?
Ubuntu 11.10 , Windows 7
I do love a good speculation, Mr Holmes.
OK, so I do agree with this observation of yours.

But in my book this is called a bug, because this cannot be by design. Why?
Let's have a look at yakichan's original post:

Now, the interesting thing is, instead of his step 3, if you press Shift+F2 to bring up "Go to page" dialogue and type the nick instead of doing it in the address field, the new address opens. So the intended design of "binding" between nick name and corresponding address must be "immediate change".
My guess is this is a bug (unintended, illogical and unintuitive behaviour) caused by a glitch in the address bar search function. Elementary?

What i mean to say is that regardless of it being a bug or user's-fault, The old URL is definitively saved in a certain file. Only after seeing that one can tell whether it's a bug or not.
And of-course if opera devs have recognized it, who am i to challenge them?

(Strangely the bug number is different.)http://my.opera.com/desktopteam/blog/b9034DSK-304642 (Nicknamed bookmark URL not updated until restart when changed and using the nickname in the Address Bar)
