i thought visiting the chat rooms will be easier but no just like in real life once they hear Jesus they ignore you without thinking.
anyone with an experience or better suggestion for me cos it kind of frustrating.
since surfing the net is one thing that i love to do, just thinking of ways to maximize that.

It's funny you should mention this, Lissie. I have vented my own frustration with the lack of commitment amongst Christians, let alone those who are not Christian. We can't even seem to get those who are members of this internet forum here, to post on a regular basis. As Gary has mentioned in another post, we never know who is reading these posts so we can only remain faithful ourselves and trust in God for the increase.

As for those who are without the Gospel, I take a different approach. My attitude is this... we pray... we live as faithfully and obediently as we can... and we leave the drawing to the Spirit of God. Really, what else can we do? We don't really need tactics or methods... we need to "be" Christians ourselves and to live pious lives that will draw others to the Lord. As for the internet, we're doing what we can to give opportunities to those who are looking for something beyond themselves... looking for peace.

You are doing great just by posting here and in D&D. In spreading the Gospel the effects are not obvious, it is arduous and all glory goes to Jesus. It is great to speak of the gospel to have a belief that is open and a belief that is good to everyone. A Christian has nothing to hide concerning their belief.

Often it is a struggle to explain misconceptions, it is not the person that you debate with that is receptive, it is often the multitudes of people who observe the debate. The people who observe the debate can see who has the love, who is reasonable and who has the best guide book and philosophy to life. The anti Christian debater will seldom be won over, I have noticed that successful threads where Christianity is presented in good form become deleted in D&D. Evidence of the Evil one at work.

What has happened is that it is acceptable to pre-judge Christians of all denominations on what one individual or denominations has said or done. This why I avoid doctrines of men and stick to scriptures the divine revelation from GOD, I find most of the anti Christian arguments are against the doctrine of men and not against the scriptures the word of GOD. The trick is to present the Scriptures and avoid getting drawn into often indefensible doctrine arguments. That is I stick to the love and hope. It is also important not to allow the anti Christians to define the argument, to remain polite, not to get heated about the slights and insults. to get a Christian heated and self righteous is the anti Christian argument strategy. I want to note that while I avoid doctrinal debate and I feel that the presentation of doctrine instead of the Holy Scriptures is counterproductive. And that the doctrinal arguments among Christians are counterproductive and fodder for the anti Christians. I also recognize that doctrine is important to many Christians, and that various doctrines explain concepts that help Christians with their beliefs.

Yes our witness is invaluable. Most Christians stay within their churches or communities. The internet is open away form the protection of a community. When outside the protection of the Christian community there is only the protection of the grace of the Holy Spirit, and the petition of prayer. This reliance on the protection of the grace of the Holy Spirit, and the petition of prayer will increase ones faith. People are anxious to find ways to relieve stress, learn how to find a guide to live a good and fruitful life and all this can be found in the Holy Scriptures.

I once read a research study titled "Those Who Went Forward" which followed the conversion of men and women who "came to Christ" via some evangelistic outreach (a crusade-type meeting in an auditorium, in a church, door-to-door). The statistics were not very encouraging. As I recall the percentage who fell away from the Church and the Lord was very high... something like 80% (but in truth, I've forgotten the exact number). The point is... it seems to me that a more effective way of evangelizing is to "be" a Christian where you are. That means to be a caring, loving, listening, giving person. People will be attracted to someone who lives as our Lord commanded us to live as opposed to someone who does not walk the talk. No special meetings are needed... no special tactics or programs are needed. What is needed is faithful, obedient Christians who live the Christian life.

Yes straight forward honesty have been Christianity's main strengths. No secret agendas, nothing hidden all in the open. The Judea-Christian Holy Scriptures as revealed through the prophets are the manual of the way to a good and happy life. The witness of living such a life, is the best argument to others to contemplate living accordingly.

Thanks for your replies. I know our way of life is a mirror to other but one thing that comes to my mind is the great commission that our lord Jesus Christ gave to his disciples.
