Certain pages won't display, don't know if it's other software's issue
Hi all. This is my first post in My Opera. Don't know if this should go to general Opera or Windows-specific board.I'm using Opera 10.51 (no surprise) on Windows XP. Recently I found that certain pages won't display. I cannot right click in those pages, and if I view the source of those pages, I can see the whole page has been loaded properly from <html> to </html>.
The pages affected vary a bit for each session, but most places in http://www.adobe.com/ cannot be seen, this is for sure.
I thought this problem was caused by other software. What I did before, in order:
1, Install Ultra ISO. Opera works as normal.
2, Install VMWare Workstation. Opera fails to display said pages.
3, Uninstall VMWare Workstation. Opera displays those pages again.
4, The next time I use my computer, I got an error message saying UltraISO failed since it couldn't access kernel32.dll. Opera doesn't show those pages again.
5, Uninstall UltraISO. Problem persists.
Does anyone has the same "page loads but won't show" problem?
Opera versions used: 9.62, 10.10, 10.51, 10.63 (current), 11.11
Specs: Athlon64X2 5200+ (2.7GHz*2), 2GB of DDR2, nVidia GT520, Windows 7 (64-bit), Somewhat customized Opera 11.11
Wishes for Opera:
- Option to disable URL lowlighting
- More love for vertical tabs
- 64-bit support (because browsers are memory-consuming no matter how optimized they are)

Yes, it would appear so. :-/ See this thread: http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=496591
The page loads fine for me — nothing I can do to stop it displaying.
Using Opera 10.51 build 3315. My sig cannot be edited due to forum changes.

Thanks for showing me that. I've read through the post, and it appears:
- Problem occurs in both Windows NT 5.x and 6.x, meaning it's not a Windows-version-specific problem. Can still be Windows-exclusive though.
- From my repeated tests, the "other software" I mentioned do not affect the viewability of pages.
- The problem itself occurs to multiple users, but the pages affected vary.
- I tried to disable JavaScript as mod haarvard suggested, and it worked. But disabling JavaScript makes multimedia-based sites like http://www.adobe.com/ look strange, without plug-ins and even CSS displayed. Deleting cookies, on the other hand, didn't work.
The first thing I can think of now is that the problem lies in the new Presto, since 10.10 and 10.50 work perfectly fine.
Seems like I'll have to reinstall Opera 10.10 before I can see another update that fixes this issue. For the problem I had, I've reported it to Opera as a bug.
EDIT - I installed back Opera 10.10 now. And everything looks awesome again.

Thanks for reporting the bug. :-) Hopefully it is something that can be sorted ASAP.
It's been my experience switching back and forth, with everything else being the same, that many pages which fail to load properly(or at all) with 10.5x will load with 10.10. It isn't always consistent. Sometimes a page will load , sometimes it won't. One of the few pages that consistently won't load at all (for me)with 10.5x is www.imdb.com. I've tesed with Vista 32 bit and XP SP3(also 32 bit) on different PC's.
I tried fiddling with a few settings and found that for me if I leave "enable automatic redirection" ticked in
Tools/Preferences/Advanced/Network
then everything works ok in all versions including 10.51.
Instead of using this global setting you can do it for each problem site by right clicking in problem page then
Edit site preferences/Network and tick enable automatic redirection
