Stop complaining about IE

Hello.
I'm a Mac user with Bootcamp Windows 7. I normally use Safari, but I have also Firefox and IE8 installed.
MY problem is now this:
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/04/03/windows_ie_browser_ballot_screen/

I think it is fine with people complaining by the enormous amount of control Microsoft has on the browser market. I can understand that, but can't you give it a rest, when you start complaining over that...? Comeon... It will happen so rarely, and isn't it fair that they have implemented a system JUST TO LET SMALL BROWSERS LIKE OPERA have a CHANCE to be KNOW... It doesn't make any sense... Would McDonalds say "Try BurgerKing"?.. No.. So be happy.. You achieved something but now... give it a rest..

Perhaps many of the complains comes from the fact that they are worse than you... wink

It's not about them being bigger. Read all the facts first. If Microsoft played by the rules then nobody would bother them.

Seems to me Opera Software was being rather nitpicky over a minor issue. That's what I get from this:

"This scenario is very easy to reproduce in a test lab, but would occur only in unusual cases in the real world. For it to occur with the Browser Choice screen, the user would need to have IE set as their default browser and have never configured it for use. Opera’s example, where a Windows XP user has rejected installation of IE 8 for the year it has been available but suddenly decides to install it is not realistic.”

Nope. It's a major issue where anyone who gets a fresh installation of Windows will have the IE welcome screen blocking the ballot screen.

This is complete and utter BS. Another disgusting lie from Microsoft. They should be fined for spreading these blatant lies.

Why are you listening to Microsoft's blatant lies?

So you think it's just fine that Microsoft is spamming ballot screen users with the IE8 welcome screen?

It will happen so rarely, and isn't it fair that they have implemented a system JUST TO LET SMALL BROWSERS LIKE OPERA have a CHANCE to be KNOW...

If it is to be fair, IE8 shouldn't spam the user.

It doesn't make any sense... Would McDonalds say "Try BurgerKing"?.. No..

Why yes they would, actually. Coca Cola was forced to carry Pepsi in stores after they were busted for anti-competitive practices, EXACTLY like Microsoft.

Your ignorance is astounding.

You achieved something but now...

The ballot screen was Microsoft's own idea.

It's not because they are bigger. Lots of companies are bigger. The problem is that Microsoft broke the law.

Get a clue.
