Open in background odd behavior

I have an odd behavior with the last version of Opera (10.51) when I open some links in the background. I have different results if I open them in a new tab or not. worried

Example:
I am developing a page where users have a list of friends. You can add more friends or delete them, as other webs. You only have to click a link in order to delete a friend. The link call a PHP control page that delete the user from the database and redirects to a destination page. A simple thing.

But, If you open that link in another tab, you will be redirected to the destination page, but no actions will be done to the database, logs,... You haven't really deleted that friend... eek

-If you open the link in the some tab, it works fine...
-I have no problems with other browsers (FF, IE, ...) and older versions of Opera (10.10, 9.x).
-I have tested this behaviour in other control pages with a redirection.
-When you do it the first time or delete the cache, it will work fine.
-It is not a problem of my page, but It has driven me crazy until I discover the "real" problem...

Are there any client-side scripts activated by clicking on the link, or does it just send a request to the server and nothing else?

No script. Only a simple link to a PHP.

I have just checked it without any scripts...
