Opera 10.51 unbelieveably slow!
Hi,I've just upgraded my work machine to 10.51 and have immediately run into performance issues when trying access external web sites. All our internal corporate sites and my local machine development sites work fine, but anything that involves connecting to and external site is painfully slow. For example www.bbc.co.uk takes 3 minutes before there enough text on the page to read and I simply give up before the page actuallys completes. Reinstalling Opera fixes nothing. IE and Firefox work absolutely fine as did the many previous versions of Opera that have been installed on my machine and so it's isolated to 10.51. I even had to write this forum post using Firefox :O(
Anyone any ideas?
Rob

Have you read some other topics? You are not alone, this forum is full of similar complaints.
Sometimes the problem can be resolved just clicking some check boxes, read for example this:

Thanks for the help guys. The fix where you switch on http 1.1 for proxy servers did the trick, BUT I now realise I can't login to Opera Link; After entering my user id and password the the login prompt just sits there saying 'logging in' forever without throwing any errors. Searched the forum again but no joy.
