Download limits are imposed by service providers and are nothing to do with opera.

Briefly, betas are not supported anymore. You have the same problem with latest build OM5?

i've no idea then, sorry. I've always been led to believe that its service providers who dictate how much you can download, and has nothing to do with the type of browser you use. To me, a browser that imposes limits where a network doesn't, wouldn't be a very attractive piece of software at all.

I've never seen a single browser that imposed download limits, nor have I ever seen an ISP do that (I've gone through quite a few ISPs over the years).

The only trouble I ever had downloading large files was when I forgot to disable the inactivity shut-off in the power management settings on this device. The stupid thing doesn't recognize downloading as "activity". doh

Since I hadn't pressed any buttons or tapped the screen for a while, the device shut off after 20 of 29 mb. had been downloaded. When I turned it back on, the Wi-Fi connected automatically, but the download couldn't be resumed and had to be restarted. furious

I don't think we should waste time discussing mods in this forum. Reported.

On my old phone, a Samsung Z400, I could only download files less than about 4mb in size. I believe that was the amount of free memory the JVM reported to the app which is causing the problems.

MiniCommander had the same limits when creating files. If you wish to test it on your phone you can find the program here: http://kys.su/p_minicommander/

Well, if the problem occurs with regular Opera Mini, you could just say it. If it occurs only on a modified version, it shouldn't be discussed her. Fair an simple.

I don't think so, but it might be possible in some JVMs.

It's useless on my Hero since I can't hit the buttons, but somehow you can view the properies of a file or directory and there you can see the free space on the device.
