I'm sorry, but to claim that the paranormal or supernatural affects the friends that you make is really beyond the pale. The sole reason that you have good friends (and they likewise) is simply because of your own innate goodness, sense of propriety and generosity of spirit.
A hypothetical "god" can't "bestow" anything upon anybody, or grant the gift of "wisdom".
They're things that us humans develop entirely within ourselves, and without the intervention of any imaginary friends in the sky. If you're lucky enough to have good friends, it's because of your efforts, and not those of a fairy-story hero.
