Voice not woking (using XP)

I have a fresh install of Windows XP Pro SP3 32-bit, and just installed this new version of Opera, 10.51. I went through the necessary steps for enabling voice, but as soon as the libraries downloaded, the box beside "enable voice" unchecked itself, and in the About section, it says that the XHTML+Voice plug-in is not located. Did I miss something, or is this just a bug in the current release? Thanks in advance!

Same here (Opera: 10.53 OS: XP +SP3), just goes around in circles...
File downloads... press Ctrl + F12 but not checked...
Tried different approaches but alas nothing... Mike

Voice is now working for XP users in Opera 10.60 yes sing

You might need a couple of attempts to get it to start speaking.

Open preferences, Voice, and see if enable voice is checked. Then try again. For me, voice never seems to work the first time I try to use it after starting Opera. The box is already checked though. Now it works.
