Gmail imap account listed under/within pop account??
I have 5 gmail/imap and 4 pop accounts in M2. I am not sure what happened, but a week or so ago I noticed that one of my gmail/imap accounts and 'folders' showed up under two of my pop accounts.See here (the blue folders are pop, the green ones imap accounts. Only one of the two pops is expanded).
The imap account is also still listed on its own, and everything works just fine.
So the only problem really is that it is confusing and of course not as it should be.
I have made adjustments in the accounts.ini file in the past, but those adjustments worked fine, and I don't think (hope not) it has anything to do with this. I changed the assignment of account# in order to have these accounts listed in an order I wanted. So after the list 1=1, 2=3, 3=5, 4=6, 5=7, 6=8 etc. I changed account=3 into account=8 for example, so that it would be listed as 6th account instead of 2nd.
Anyone seen this before?
Thanks

Messing with accounts.ini could have messed things up. Theoretically, changing the order should be OK, but...
You can try checking index.ini and checking the Parent Id number for the "name=mail for ..." indexes to make sure they're 0. Also look for a duplicate index that has its parent id set to one of your pop index IDs.
Be careful when editing index.ini though. It's easy to really mess things up. Even if you back it up, if you restore the backup, you may lose some new information that happened after the backup.
You could try editing accounts.ini to revert things back to how they were to see if it helps.

Hi burnout,
Thanks for your reply. I checked the index.ini which is, I take it, a snap shot, therefore some data may get lost when changing.
But all looks okay to me - for the little that I know.
I am aware that changes in the accounts.ini may cause problems with storage/indexing of mail so I was hesitant to try and now I am hesitant to revert back. The thing is that this problem, of the imap folders of one gmail account showing up under the two of my pop accounts, didn't happen until 2 weeks or so later after changing the accounts.ini. I am trying to remember if it coincided with the upgrade from 10.10 to 10.51....
What will happen if I delete the pop accounts and recreate them? Fortunately they are not my major email accounts.
I need to get informed about the specifics of backing up and retrieving Opera mail (I do run automatic backups of all my data on an external service). I may forward my pops to my main gmail account, for storage purposes and anywhere access. Gmail 'client' doesn't let us customize much, but it's a robust system.
Maybe opera will make it easier (UI) to have accounts listed in a desired order.
Thanks!
