Back up my blog and comments
Hey there!I am worried about my blog on Opera. I don't write anymore, but I often come back and read the comments of my friends and miss those happy days. Its like a diary to the beautiful days of the past. But I am scared. Recently, a blog-hosting service killed everyone's blog without notice..all my data gone. Now i am worried about this happening here. Is there anyway I can take a backup of my blogpost + comments without copying / pasting the entire thing?

We do not support back up at the moment. The only option is for you to copy/paste content, or save each page.
I can guarantee that My Opera will not be closed, removed or anything in that manner without notice. It's unlikely that this service will disappear as it's an essential part and vision of Opera Software.

If you don't support back-up, would it be possible for you to support cross-posting between services like you do for Twitter? i.e., one could post a blog here, and it would also post on Blogger, and from there the OP could back up to XML as needed.
Back up isn't needed as this site is permanent and essential to the Opera software. Basically what Espen said

People still might want to archive their work on their own computers and would like to do it with XML and readily exportable/importable standards, rather than copy-pasting into a static *.doc. The ability to cross-post to other services would also help spread the word about Opera, rather than restrict it to our own site. Short of reluctance by those services to allow such a thing to be done, I don't see the problem with putting resources into exploring it.
