Tabs to top of screen?

Is there a way (or skin to download) that moves tabs to the very top of the screen (like Google Chrome)? I would like to remove the Opera bar at the very top that just takes up screen space. Thanks.

In XP, make sure your Desktop Theme is set to Windows XP, doesn't work with Classic Theme.

Ok. So, how do I do it? I'm using 10.51.

Disable menu bar, main bar and personal bar.

The bar at the very top is not the menu, main, or personal bar. I already have those disabled.

It's the Opera bar at the very top that I would like to remove.

What do you mean by the Opera bar?
Can you post a screenshot?

It's the dark blue title bar at the very top, with the little red "O", that tells you the page you're on.

As Tamil posted already, disable menu bar removes that.

Ok, I see. When I go to Appearance - Toolbars, I do not see a Menu Bar listed. Is that option found somewhere else? I'm using 10.51 and the Standard Opera screen.

I have Menu Bar unchecked already. Does anyone know how to remove the very top dark blue bar (the very top bar)?

That's the Title Bar. It should be disabled by default in 10.51. If you have no Menu Bar, Personal Bar, or Main Bar, you shouldn't be seeing the Title Bar.
Is this clean install, or did you update a previous version of Opera? Perhaps running the installer again, and using the Repair option might help.

Yes, this was a clean install of 10.51. There is still a title bar at the top. Is there a way to remove it manually (through a menu option)?

It's just the title bar. The very top bar found on every browser.

Basically, I would like the tab bars to be flush at the very top of the screen.

It's the bar at the very top that has the minimixe, maximize, and x button for the browser window.

I'm beginning to think it can't be removed.

It would be nice to save the screen space and be able to have the tabs flush with the very top of the screen (as Google Chrome has).

But, thanks to everyone anyway...

There are several factors that will stop the title bar being hidden by the tabs:
  1. An incompatible skin
  2. Another toolbar displayed at the top: menu bar, main bar, personal bar, or status bar.
  3. The page bar (tabs) being displayed at the bottom
  4. An incompatible OS ?

... which sounds like it should be item 1 on your list, as he's excluded all the others. Though perhaps there's a 5th possibility - some sort of alternative theme engine, such as WindowBlinds and such.

And a screenshot would actually help, as was said before.

My Opera Glasses Skin, which is based on the Classic skin, but with 32 pixel icons, has tabs that extended to the very top of the screen. You can click right on the edge of the window to select or minimise/restore tabs. This is not possible with the standard skin.

See this thread in the customising forum if you want to modify your favourite skin to obey Fitt's law.

As Pesala mentioned above: In the 10.5x the title bar is partly covered by the half "O" icon, and the tab bar.
But that is only if you use the tab bar at the top.
If you have it placed anywhere else, the title bar is visible as in previous versions.
