Using http://kart.finn.no/ consumes an enormous amount of file-descriptors/sockets

Using http://kart.finn.no/ and http://kart.gulesider.no/ navigate around a lot, including zooming in and out within a short timespan will consume the standard linux limit of 1024 filedescriptors farily quickly. Other map-sites does seem to some extent to i.e. be present for maps.google.com but nowhere near as severe, I gave up after 5-10 minutes, when it "only" had climbed to 2-300 open sockets.

It seems to be related to loading of the map-tiles, as in, one tcp-connection for each tile, as when the limit is hit, you'll notice empty tiles with the text "image" in the top left corner.

The open sockets will stick around, possibly until the remote endpoint of the socket decides to close/terminate it, as when the limit is hit, loading other websites will fail as well.

Opera prints to stderr:
Failed to open file (please check with "ulimit") [fopen]: Too many open files

lsof -p <pid of opera> will give me ~996 established tcp-connections to kartcache.finn.no:www
Example:
opera 3890 <me> 1023u IPv4 1753157 0t0 TCP <myhostname>:48589->kartcache.finn.no:www (ESTABLISHED)

Confirmed, same build and platform as OP. Within a fairly short time, just zooming in and moving around a little, quickly had me staring at a lot of pink image-failed-to-load tiles. The same thing worked without hassle in other browsers on the same system, so while it may not be the best implementation from the provider's site, (given that google maps does not display this problem) the problem does not entirely lie with them.
