Thanks for the help. I actually wanted it to download all my messages but I had to give up on that idea. So I just went to gmail and set it to download only new messages. I would no more get all my email gone through and it would download all the old stuff again. You are right Reogem this email client is definitely not one to filter out the spam LOL. I sure would love to see some improvements on Opera. It's got the potential to be one of the best email clients out there.

Is there a way to stop Opera M2 from fetching email automatically? I do have all of my accounts in Opera M2 set to not auto fetch. But it still fetches email now and again.

If it's an IMAP account, turn off idle for the account in accounts.ini
