opera mini bug on samsung s5620 monte

this model s5620 is newly introduced. java apps are supported with the touchwiz interface.
when opera mini 5 or 4.2 is installed the bottom 25percent of the screen are used by game and navigation keys. i am not able to use the full screen for opera mini.
can this be disabled ?
or is there a specific version for samsung phones where these keys are disabled ?
please help

From your description it sounds like your phone needs a special jad attribute to disable this keypad overlay. There are many threads on how to modify the jad file for Samsung on these forums, so a quick search will probably get you the information needed.

If you want to help us solve this for future Samsung S5620 users, I'd really appreciate it if you could through the built-in browser on your phone visit http://m.opera.com/detect and follow the steps (if any). This will make sure that this phone is on our records.

The navigation buttons appear on nearly all java apps on the S5620 Monte.
They are really useful for some old non-touchscreen apps,
but really annoying to have them on the great opera mini.

However it's easy to remove them:
just download the jad and jar to PC, and append the line

MIDlet-Touch-Support: True

to the jad file, then install them on the phone by executing the jad.
(Maybe Samsung has changed the default settings for this parameter??)

I was facing this prob on all monte apps, now got this solution, from this forum only
i just wanted to write it more elaborately so here we go:

Download the opera mini jar on pc (for the correct monte version i downloaded from getjar.com)
extract it with winzip or winrar
go to the manifest folder and open manifest.mf with a text editor
append the line MIDlet-Touch-Support: True to the file save it and replace it in the jar with the help of winzip/winrar
place it into your phone and bingo...

But it's an older version - it works!

Here is how to get the SIGNED version with full screen on the excellent Samsung Monte GT-S5620:
(This procedure should also work with other phones that Opera "forgot").

Use Desktop Opera (not IE) and goto m.opera.com. Select other downloads, and choose the version with all sertificates.
Download the mini.jad file to you PC, and edit it with notepad:

1) REMOVE the (last) line "OM-UA: Opera/9.80 (Windows NT 5.1; U; en) Presto/2.6.30 Version/10.62"
2) ADD the line: MIDlet-Touch-Support: True

You must remove (or modify) the OM-UA line, otherwise Monte rejects the jad. Now you may transfer the modified mini.jad file to your phone and install.

The jad file will download the mini.jar during install, so if you want OFFLINE installation instead, copy the long MIDlet-Jar-URL string, and paste it to you browser, and save the mini.jar file next to the mini.jad. Now modify the line in the jad to "MIDlet-Jar-URL: mini.jar". Transfer both files to your phone, and install the jad file as above.

I am not sure why there is no official version for Monte. This is s popular touch 3G phone! If somebody get the link of the guy above, and remake it for Monte will be great. Just enable the orientation function and ability to download signed version - thats all! And The keys in the virtual keyboard is too small for this phone. Maybe option to set numeric buttons will be great (i know i can disable internal keyboard, but there is a lot of additional clicks)

Opera Mini 6 (downloaded today) also has this bug. Does anyone have a pre-prepared jad and jar set that will install the latest Opera without that sorry a* keyboard?

P.S. Yes, the Opera QWERTY buttons are too small.
