Cannot redirect certain messages

The redirect function does not work with certain messages, including messages from Google Groups. If I press W, the redirect window opens, and I can enter the recipient's name and address. But when I press Ctrl + Enter or click Send, nothing happens. I can still forward these messages, but I prefer the Redirect function in some cases. Do these messages come with some embedded command that tells my e-mail client not to redirect them? Is there a way to override this in Opera?

I am running Opera 10.10 on Windows XP SP3 (because of all the bugs in the mail client in 10.50 and 10.51).

Right-click on the message and View All Headers and Message. Do you see headers that are really, really long?

Yes.

The headers include this:

DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=gamma; h=domainkey-signature:mime-version:received:date:received:message-id :subject:from:to:cc:content-type; bh=rVKl3u7NuOpyGAjbOpylC+8aRH/JxKXUOSL0yMA+WuA=; b=p2ZoC3EY/V4kgKWP6rrEtP40BackPCZaH/8iTePQaYf/AWaOKoRuUTcO3yHr+RF0Ae ChpXG2bf2IKUvymdgxtMXB7mhZjekcFIxusYD/ED4xUkGj5m4ISn9vpjDCqRN/jW/3bx GBqoEDdqFsdEV0RP5o/XzUB6seKwkZjmesHQQ=
DomainKey-Signature: a=rsa-sha1; c=nofws; d=gmail.com; s=gamma; h=mime-version:date:message-id:subject:from:to:cc:content-type; b=J8U7neRbe3IDMu5hDzA8W7dQBleOtE+xOh62LLjDmzfRfXIHk58FHttHcNx57VT6gs ULmsHfNvkzWqzl2RrrdgQgMXTdii9mbLRvdahQ93KEjZA5TeWnRRoAJvvaB6EMjH9VZU swStjf94Dxb3B6xx7b7K+p6hcj2a2ytxeD9SI=
MIME-Version: 1.0

Is it in the above, or should I be looking elsewhere? This last message I could not redirect was not from a Google Group, but it was from a gmail account.

Open the message and ctrl + s to save it as test.mbs.

Open the mbs file in a text editor, remove one of the headers and save.

In Opera, file -> import and export -> import mail -> generic mbox import -> browse to the mbs file -> import it into a new account (or your existing account. You can just delete the message when you're done testing).

Then, try to redirect the imported message. If it works, perhaps the header that you deleted is the one causing the problem with Opera. If so, then you should have enough info to file a report. If you do, mention the link to this thread in the report and post the bug number here (minus the @... part).

If you still can't redirect, edit the mbs file again, remove another header and import it again. See if you can narrow it down.
