Print preview problem with overly long web pages.
This has been a problem for some time (with the current version and previous versions), but I never got around posted about it.When I try to print a web page that is overly long and/or complex (not always and with no consistency), in the preview window, all I see is the first couple of pages, if that. Usually, it is the just the first two or three pages of what should be many more. When I scroll down I only find nothing but gray afterwards (I sue the 'Classic' look). If I select 'user mode, the preview window seems to show everything. If I go back to 'Author mode', most of the time I'm back to where I started, only the first one or two pages.
It's not with all sites that have a overly long web page structure. The next time I see this, I will post a link.

I read something about this issue some time ago. No idea if it is reported.
Maybe you should report that bug to Opera.

This isn't new, but I don't see a pattern with it. It's not always long pages either.

Here is a site that seems to have the problem;
http://artvoice.com/issues/v9n16/food_nominees
Only if you use the "Save or Share" feature and choose "More" then "PrintFriendly" on the right hand side of the page which gives you this;
http://www.printfriendly.com/printc?url=http%3A%2F%2Fartvoice.com%2Fissues%2Fv9n16%2Ffood_nominees%3Fsms_ss%3Dprintfriendly
Then if I select File/Print Preview, then scroll down, only the first page and half of the second page is displayed. If I then scroll back up, what was previously displayed disappears, with only a blank gray background. I tried it again, but this time there wasn't a problem.

I ran into this problem today, here: http://cyber.eserver.org/unabom.txt
I was trying to print that for a student's homework project and wanted to see how many pages I should expect to print. Turned out that I couldn't, because the Print Preview stopped around page 55. (Actual number of pages required was 60, which I only discovered by actually printing it.)
Bug report submitted.

On a screen set to 1920x1200, 48 was the last page number and it only showed the top half of the page.

I finally found an example, though different from problems of the past;
http://www.davidicke.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1199249
If you print the page in the normal view, or choose "Printable view" under thread options, the results are the same. You scroll to the middle of page 4 in the printable version or page 5 in the normal version but then it stops. It won't allow viewing any further. It use to be just black .

Here is another example, though this and the previous are surely not 'long';

The actual print turns out ok.

Well, I see Opera's forum has a new look.
AFAIC, it still is the 'sites' fault in spite of the fact Opera has always run 'tight code', not allowing for typical Webmaster error, unlike Idiot Exploiter, that has always run loose (sloppy) code where anything goes.To be fair, Opera has the problem with all sites. A new look with new problems!! When I hit "post reply" only the first five posts in the thread showed. Nothing past that.

A most recent example;
http://www.opera.com/support/usingopera/operaini/
freezes Opera when I try to print the page. I have to close the browser and restart to get rid of the "Print" popup box. I can't 'cancel' the process without closing Opera.
The link printout is very long, I have no idea how many pages, since print preview only shows one page, which is the other problem.
