[ICONS] How to change default icon of Opera in KDE 4.3?

Hello, I'm new in 0pera forums.

I have a problem and it has been bothering me since I installed 0pera. In my Kubuntu, there is a default icon of Opera:

that i will like to use instead of the one that comes with 0pera, because the default one looks awfull in my bar, it has less pixels that the other one, let me explain this with some ScreenShots:

and

you can see in both pictures that the icon of 0pera {running} is crapier than the one on the left {0pera launcher}, i want to use the one on the left for everything, and for that i have to find the directory that contains de png/jpg file of the icon on the task bar...

=============
i'm running:
nicolas@desktop:~$ opera -full-version
Opera 10.10 Internal. Build 4742 for Linux. Qt library 4.5.2 (i386 linux g++-4 full-config).
Compiled on Nov 20 2009 by gcc 4.3.2 (ABI: 1002) for GNU libc 2.7
using Qt 4.4.3 (i686 Linux g++-4 full-config).

Using Kubuntu 9.10 karmic koala at the moment + KDE 4.3
my hardware is an Athlon X2 64 dual core 4600 - 2.4Ghz + 2Gb ddr2 RAM mem + nvidia 8600 gt (512mb mem) + plenty of hard disc
=============

I tryed to look for it in .opera folder at /home/user/ but didn't find anything...

can someone help me on this? smile

thx

Isn't there something in KControl? I might be confused with Windows, Gnome, KDE 3.5 or anything else though.

I'm not completely sure but i think you can change it by creating a shortcut to Opera, with the old icon applied to it.

However, the Opera 10.5x icon looks a lot better, haven't seen any ugly pixels since upgrading to it. (it's still in pre-beta though)

The OP wanted to fix the taskbar icon, not the launcher (his launcher already uses the old glass marble icon).

Ah, right. In that case, not that I'd recommend using unstable versions, but does 10.5x remedy it?

One seems to affect the other sometimes.

Thanks for the answers, but i don't want to use an unstable version, i hope someone here will find the correct folder or directory where it hides this icon, since it's the aplication running, i can't use another icon in the launcher, so if anyone finds the folder with the .png or .jpg file of the opera when is working, please let me know smile
I can't find it 'cause i don't have a clue where to find besides /home/myuser/.opera/ and the search function in dolphin (the file manager) doesn't work at all

hope to find the answer... also i'd like to see some screenshots of this new taskbar-icon of 0pera, if you can/want, post some small screenshot like mine so i can see the diference bigsmile

pd: sorry 4 my bad english :S, & thanks for all the answers smile

They're using an SVG icon now, last I heard. Not that they don't also have a range of sizes in bitmapped formats (if you're using an old X version without built-in SVG support) ...
