Blackberry Storm 9550 Opera Mini 5 issues
Hello,I am having problems with my blackberry storm 2 9550 running OS 5.0.0.607. Whenever I input in google search or within a webpage the screen will not go back to the way it is supposed to and it leaves only a small area for viewing. I would appreciate some help because opera is my main browser and it is quite a reoccurring issue.

Confirmed, more info:
While using a text-entry field while the Storm is in vertical alignment, the keyboard pops up and the Opera display area shrinks accordingly. This leaves less than half of the screen available for web page content. When dismissing the keyboard, the Opera display area fails to return to full-size. Rotating the device to horizontal correctly causes the screen to rotate, resulting in a complete redraw which clears the issue. The Storm can be rotated back vertically with no problem.
Further, while the issue is 100% repeatable when using vertically, it only sometimes happens when using horizontally.

realized that. I just wish there was an easier fix. It just seems like an odd nuisance to have to continue turning my device to keep the screen fully usable. Do you know if this is something that they will be fixing in the near future?

I completely agree. I have made do with it but I definitely consider down grading to an older OS. I think the BB browser is unusable for most sites, maybe other then mobile sites and I rely very much on Opera. So I hope they take care of it because the new OS is really quick but I might be making a change.

To everyone that is still experiencing this issue with the Storm 2 9550, I have a solution. Just downgrade to version 5.0.0.517. It is a leaked version but I have been running it for a few day now and its really the best of both worlds. It provides the opera use of build .320 and the speed and improved keyboard of .609. It is a really solid OS and to date, I don't really have any complaints.

**Just follow the links from there but remember to delete .609 before trying the install and I used BBSAK to put on .517.

I have this issue with the keyboard as well on the 9520: just to confirm, it's definitely related to the .713 os as I only upgraded yesterday and noticed the problem straightaway. Is there an ETA on a fix yet? As much as I love opera mini, I don't think it's realistic to downgrade and sacrifice all the improvements that .713 has brought.
