Certification centers suddenly gone - nothing works anymore

Hi,

I just installed Opera 10.10 (on the current Ubuntu dist). At the beginning everything worked fine, I adjusted all the settings made a Ubuntu Link account and synchronized my bookmarks. After a reboot, however, Opera Link could connect to the authentification server anymore and I found that all certification centers were suddenly gone. This is the reason why I get certification warnings at every website as well.

I could solve the problem by a reinstall (I also had to manually delete the .opera directory, which is quite annoying since I selected complete removal). Of course, I have to know if this is a common problem. I cannot use Opera if I have to reinstall it every day.

Thanks very much!

The opcacrt6.dat file could have been partially destroyed for some reason, and two certificates in particular have to be lost for what you observed to happen. There have been occasional reports about that happening, but we do not know why it does. If this file is renamed/deleted it is automatically regenerated, there is no need to do anything else.
Sincerely,
