Unable to open the fip radio player in a separate window

Hi,

In France we have this really good and known radio, Fip, which can be listened on internet here : http://sites.radiofrance.fr/chaines/fip/endirect/

With IE8 or Google Chrome (and maybe Firefox, i don't know because i don't use it), when i click on "écouter" ("listen" in French), the radio player is opened in a separate window, and i can close the browser.

But with Opera, the radio player is opened inside Opera : it can not be moved anywhere on the Windows desktop, and if i close the browser the radio player is closed too.

I can't right-click on the link and open it in a new window or in a new tab, because the link is a javascript command.

Is there a solution?

Of course i can listen the radio station with VLC for example, but the problem is that the titles of the songs currently played are not shown.

Thanks by advance for your help.

P.S. It seems that is is a current problem with radio players, i found this thread about the subject : http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=392961

Here's what I just tried.
Click on "écouter" and the player opens up in a new tab.
Now double click on the the top of that tab window to maximize the tab.
Now you can drag that tab to the task bar and it will open in a new window.
You can then resize that window to a preferred size.

P.S. I tried it in IE8 to see the difference and on my system it just opened in a new tab not a separate window, same in Firefox too.

Thanks Luxor for this workaround, i will use it now.

What you say about IE8 is weird, maybe you have modified some settings. I made a fresh installation of Windows 7 some days ago, and as i don't use IE8 (Opera ftw! bigsmile) all the settings are the default ones. Same for Google Chrome 5 beta.
