Many sites not loading, need suggestions
I wish Opera would sticky a thread about how to deal with all the pages that do not load in 10.51. I know that many, many people have this same issue. It would help to have a single place with collected suggestions on how people have dealt with that. So, that is my question. If you are one of the many who has issues with pages not loading, did you fix the problem? If you did fix the problem, how did you do so? I am really looking for suggestions here.
At this point, Opera has become nearly unusable for me and I am forced to use Firefox (which I really dislike) because pages that I use regularly, including my own websites, often refuse to load fully. I could really use some options, if anyone has any ideas. I'm not looking for bitching, ranting, or people pretending to be smart by making snarky remarks. I am looking for solutions from people who have experience with this issue and have figured out how to get around it.

I searched for your problem and see that you have previously posted on this topic. For example: Random website not loading sometimes, loading other times in 10.51

There are several things you can try that have been gleaned from other posts. So, I'm really curious if this is happening to other people or if maybe I have a bad install and just need to reinstall Opera. Aside from all the bad design issues, there seems to be a horrendous bug in the new Opera wherein some websites do not load at all, some only partially load, some load sometimes but not other times. Does anyone else have this issue.
Sites/pages that never seem to load:

http://www.soulofmiami.org/ (this is my own site, and sometimes the dashboard does not load, which is *really* bad when I
am trying to work)
http://www.lifeisartfest.org/index.htm (also my site, also same issue as above)
There's more that I have had trouble with, but that gives you a sampling. I don't even try Facebook or Myspace, but I realize that is probably their fault, for bad code, rather than Opera's.
What do you think? Known bug or should I reinstall?
- Try deleting cookies for the affected domain and reload the page. Also select "Accept cookies" in Preferences > Advanced > Cookies.
- A firewall or software like ZoneAlarm that blocks the browser from accessing the internet.
From Opera hangs on the last element

I'm guessing this was conflicting with Opera's own cookie and privacy controls.
Anyway, I set "Cookie Control" to "off" and the problem went away. If I had EITHER 3rd party cookies or private header information blocked individually, the problem was appeared again - both had to be off, which equates to "Cookie Control" being "Off" altogether.
From Opera 10.50 doesn't finish loading

Now that appears to have done the trick for me. Including for THIS page. Thanks.
- Preferences > Advanced > Network > Proxy Servers. "Enable HTTP 1.1 for proxy" should be checked. (important if using Opera Turbo or an ISP provided accelerator as this uses a proxy).
- Preferences > Advanced > Security > Security Protocols. All 4 (SSL 3, TLS 1, TLS 1.1, & TLS 1.2) are checked, and the first 5 in Details are unchecked. Everything beginning with 168 bit 3-DES (RSA/SHA) should be checked.
- Preferences > Advanced > Network. Check that "Max connections to a server" and "Max total connections" is set to the default for 10.51, 16 & 64 respectively.
Linux in VirtualBox | Opera 12.15-1748

The first was unchecked, and the second was set to 8 and 20, respectively. I have never messed with those settings (did not even know they existed), so who knows how they got changed, but whatever, it seems to be working good now. I also turned off the Cache. With so many dynamic websites these days, seems sort of pointless, anyway.
Thanks very much for the assist. Anytime you are visiting sunny Miami, drinks are on me!
As you have noticed we have been trying to kill that NSL bug for a while now. We decided to revert some Cookie behavior to how it was in 10.10 to make it go away for now. So please test for regressions related to cookies/loading of pages. Please tell us if you still get NSL. Your feedback on this bug is very important.

At this moment many important sites just won't load for me, even on totally fresh OS without any antivirus/firewall software.
One day I'm unable to browse eBay, when it finally runs I'm unable to open another 10 sites and as far as I can see - number of sites looking like "about:blank" is getting higher every I mean EVERY day.
Ok. I know "bugs happen", but I've been waiting for a fix for weeks and today I'm thinking about migrating to a different browser, what's sad after so many years...
And I'm not sure what to say to my friends, because most of them moved to Opera in the last few years because of my recommendation. Now the're asking me what to do, and I'm not sure, because NONE of solutions above or on this site works, at least for me.
I'll try with older version before migrating to, I guess, Chrome (which allowed me to write this post and upload this image):

Great job Opera Software, great job.

I've been using Opera for years and i am now about to stop using it. I have 5 sites i need for work, three will no longer load past the Home page, and i cannot log in as none of the links are active. I can't even do a google search anymore. i've followed all the suggestions in various posts on here and nothing has helped.
What is the point in releasing a browser that quite simply does not work??
I am sick of it crashing everytime i load a pdf doc - and i am not about to install another pdf reader on the WORK computer - and more to the point - i should not HAVE to. It should NOT be crashing when you try to close a document.
Enough is enough. I have to get my work done, and i cannot on this version of Opera. I deeply deeply regret 'upgrading' (how on earth it is called an upgrade i have NO idea) to this version.
I know someone who is a beta tester, and when and IF he informs me there is again a WORKING version of Opera, i may consider returning.

THANK you! Finally, some admission to the problem. When I first came on the forums after the release of 10.51 and reported this, amongst other problems, I was greeted with general derision by many of the so-called old-timers (even though I have been around longer than most of them). I recall many nasty comments to tons of people with complaints.Thank goodness the so-called "whiners" were shown to be right. I hope some people learned a lesson.
Anyway, at least this is now a known issue. Downloading 10.52 now. Hopefully that fixes.
This is all getting pretty silly. For me every version of Opera 10 had this problem.. EXCEPT for 10.51. In the last version they seemed to have it solved. All my pages were loading. Of course there was the problem with the "Waiting for DNS confirmation of cookie domain(s)" bug but the pages were loading. Now I'm hearing that others are having the opposite experience; that with this version the problem has been solved!! What gives?
I'm going back to 10.51. What a pain. Oh to have a browser that just simply works again. I miss it so.
