Where does one find Opera 10.1?
I want to downgrade to what I used to use -- 10.1I have a copy of 10 and could use that but I need to know whether one should uninstall Opera 10.51 first and whether clearing the registry of all references to Opera would be required. Any and all info is appreciated.
Thanks,

10.10 is on the download page (look for the link for other versions)
http://www.opera.com/browser/download/?os=windows&ver=10.10&local=y
(Found it for you)
As to the work required to downgrade - it depends what data you want to keep. Email? Bookmarks? Wand Passwords? What kind of settings have you configured?
I am still on Opera 10.10 due to the bugs in the email system. So I cannot give you full details of the data to migrate. but you will find all of your settings in the %appdata%\Roaming\Opera folder. Nothing is in the registry.
I would start by backing up all the files in %appdata%\Roaming\Opera and %appdata%\local\opera folders (ignore the cache as no point in backing that up). Then you can try the reinstall of 10.10 without worry.
Hopefully someone else can confirm other changes to the files in 10.51 if there are any fiddly changes to do with this rollback. But you need to help people to help you by letting them know how customised you have made your Opera.

I have 10.10, and 10.51 installed in separate directories. I can use either or both.

Excellent point, Mallen, regarding what do I want to keep:)
I want to retain, all email, wand settings, passwords. The latter two could be lost without causing me too much inconvenience as I keep records of all passwords. So email is the main item for retention as I have email going back years that I keep:)
For me having two versions of Opera would make little sense as I use it constantly and why or when I would select the 'other' would then be totally random.
Thanks,

Passwords are easy - %appdata%\roaming\opera\opera\wand.dat
Contacts are in contacts.adr and bookmarks in bookmarks.adr
(See what I mean about backing up that whole %appdata%\Opera\ branch?)
The email may be a little trickier. I think they changed the email location in 10.5x so check with opera:config#Mail Root Directory and see where that points. That is your mailstore.
When upgrading it is usually as simple as closing Opera and then swapping the folders at that location with the one from your backup. Not sure how easy this is in the other direction (no doubt other forum posts on this, or someone else will drop by and answer for you)
