Opera unite issues. Suspect opera connection issue.

I cannot create an account with opera unite in the browser. I also cannot log into my opera unite account in the browser.
Error: Error connecting to authentication server.
I get this when trying to log in and when trying to make a new account.
Using windows 7 x64. I tried completely uninstalling opera (settings too) and reinstalling to no avail.
I also get the same issue when checking for updates. Opera servers could not be reached.
I have tried forwarding ports and enabling dmz. Disabled all firewalls. My laptop can connect to opera unite just fine.
Stuck:(

Sounds like a https issue.. You login on your Opera account via https://auth.opera.com/xml and updates go through https://autoupdate.opera.com/

Try one of the many suggestions in this thread http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=518561&page=1#comment5080361

Tried all the suggestions in that thread and still having the same issue.
Also tried upgrading to 10.53 to no avail.
Dammit. I really really wish I could use unite.

Check if opera:config#Web Server|Proxy Host is set to operaunite.com if not then change it.
Or try setting it to 91.203.99.54
Krita.org
Opera: 12.1x

What happens when you try to open https://autoupdate.opera.com/ / https://auth.opera.com/ / operaunite.com / https://asd.opera.com/ in Opera? Does your laptop run the same OS?
