Forced Redirects away from Mobile Websites in Mini 5
Since the Opera Mini 5 final release I have not been able to access the mobile version of some websites (in particular, mobile.nytimes.com). Instead, when I enter the mobile website address I am redirected to the regular (www.nytimes.com) website. A redirect page appears briefly showing "Go to NYTimes.com" and then I get the regular homepage display. This did not happen with Mini 4.x or with the Mini 5 Beta. On the most other websites I go to regularly, if I enter the mobile website address I get the mobile website (and if I enter the regular website address, I get that - except for www.washingtonpost.com: that gives me the mobile site but provides a link that takes me to the "full" website). One other annoyance: I have m.nytimes.com in speed dial but when I try to access it (and get the regular website instead), I end up with the www address stored in speed dial.Is there anything I can do about this? Apparently Opera Mini 5 tells nytimes.com it is a full featured browser and so nytimes.com displays the full website. My phone's (Nokia N85 Symbian) default browser (which I is very kludgy) does get the Times' mobile website. Is there some way to control what Opera Mini 5 tells a web server about itself? I have tried contacting nytimes.com with no response.
Thanks.
PS: Adding insult to injury. I tried accessing a page from the NY Times "full" website in Mini 5 and I got an error message: Your browser is too old to display this page properly. Go to getfirefox.com.
