Live Video Streaming from Your OperaUnite website straight into Windows Media Player
Greetings ,It never stops amazing me what you can do when you can create you Own web site in Opera Unite.I This Post I will tell you how to set up Opera Unite to do Full Live Video Streaming from a clickable link on one of your own web pages into Windows Media Player 11.
Before we start you will need to go to this link http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/forpros/encoder/default.mspx
Download the Windows media 9 encoder that is right for your system. After you have installed and played with your new toy come back here and finish reading this post. if you want to stream live.
the next thing that you will need to do is create two files to put in you OperaUnite Webserver Application. The first file will be written in notepad and saved as a html file . It must contain this line in it :
<p>You can also view this live feed directly in Windows Media Player by < a href="webcam.asx" target="_blank" >clicking here</a>.</p> put the <> back in place so the link will work I had to space then to keep the post system from making a link of it
The second file also written in notepad will be saved as "webcam.asx It must contain this in it :
< ASX version="3.0" >
< Entry >
< ref HREF="http://your_OperaUnite_IP_address_here:1121"/ >
< /Entry >
< /ASX
Here again take the space out of the < > to this <> so the file will work. The system wanted to make a playlist of the above entry in the post also add > at the end </asx <here
you will need to change the web address here to your IP address that you have in the video encoder . once you have these two files in the webserver and running anyone that clicks on the link will see your live streem in windows media player with sound . One two the port suggestion is 1121 and you must have the encoder encoding for the link to work . there is a button that says start encoding you can figure the rest out...
Cheers!
P.S. I will be posting more ways to do this in this theard java html and stuff ...

Hello Everyone ,
I was hard at work to day finding out what works with live broadcasting and OperaUnite. i will be attaching text files to this Post that will give you the basic html code to set up you own live video streaming web site with Opera unite. the files will give you different ways to stream live video from your computer to the world. If you will follow the comments on each page you should have no problem getting set up. I will set each one as a text file you can then use notepad to make the necessary changes in the file then save it as a html file in you webserver dir. be sure to add links to you index file so you can get to it on line. be very sure to find all the comments a follow the instructions the save the new file as html the encoder must be running for the stream to work . when the get to the pages there will be a player embeded in the page when they hit the play button thay will get your web cam in living color live. note do not turn on archive feature in the encoder unless you have a huge hard drive to save the session to it will eat about one meg a minute.if you are lucky if you have not downloaded the wnencoder.exe do it now. the link is in the first post.internet explorer only page.txt Internet Explurer and other browsers player.txt
Cheers! and have Fun you are Streaming live with OperaUnite...
