Opera mini iPhone: Link doesn't sync bookmarks (only the first 9 speed dial items)

Even after 1 hour of usage, Link doesn't sync a single bookmark of my desktop installation.
I got the first 9 SD items within seconds, but that's it for now...

When I access Opera Link, I notice a new empty folder called "Opera mini", but where can I find all my old desktop bookmarks?

Anybody know how/where I can tell Link what to sync on the iPhone Opera mini version?
And how can I tell it to sync more than the first 9 speed dial items?

TIA

Great to have OM on the iPhone smile
Using Win 7 x64 and latest Opera snapshpot, lab build or final, whatever is newer...

Hallo,
I´ve the same problem. The Bookmark sync doesn´t work. And i can only sync 9 speed-dial items. Is it possible to get more speed dial items or is it not possible to change the number of speed dials?

After reading the posts in the "review" forum here, I found the answer to both questions:

For now, only 9 speed dials are available, at least according to the posters over there.

To sync bookmarks:
Eventually, on your desktop, under bookmarks, the "folder" called "Opera Mini" will appear.
Turn off Opera Link in the settings on your iPhone/iPod Touch.
Drag bookmarks you'd link to sync to that "Opera Mini" "folder" on your desktop browser.
Once you've finished with that, turn the Opera Link setting back on on your device.

This seems like a very non-obvious way of doing it, though. When the set-up gave me the option to sync bookmarks, I assumed it would just do it. And that syncing would happen when any changes are made; however, you have to turn it off then back on after you make changes on your desktop.

Hope that helps!

Thank you!

Hmm, IMO an Opera mini bookmark folder is nice for "OM only" bookmarks, but it would be also nice to get all Link BMs synced too.
IIRC I even read somewhere (FAQ?) that ALL your BMs can be found under "more items" or similar...

EDIT: found it

Why don't I see all my bookmarks in Opera Mini?

All bookmarks from your personal computer are stored in the "More Bookmarks" folder in the bookmarks section.

I also didn't find a way to tell OM Link what to sync (as described in the FAQ)?

And yes, syncing more than the first 9 SD items would be nice.
Or even better, a way to tell OM SD Link what SDs to sync on the OM browser...

Well, it's the first iPhone OM release, so I guess we'll just have to wait for future updates.

Anyway, OM is so much better than Safari on the iPhone! I'm happy bigsmile
