Search engines and the changing thereof

Ok, I'm putting this out there bluntly.. the default google search engine that you cannot change or delete sucks.

Because it's the default (which you can't change) if I want to do a search on something else I have to select (for example) Google UK (which I manually added) every single time I want to do a relevant search.

Think i'm being facetious?

Look at this:

The first result is the least relevant, this is fairly consistent and it's annoying.

Being able to add this as the default would be lightyears better:

For some reason trying to add the above to Opera on the iphone results in the non-mobile version, they're probably doing an agent lookup or something.

Just goto the search page that you want, then tap and hold for a few seconds on the search box and you should be able to add a new search engine.

I already know how to add a search engine, what I'm complaining about is that:

You cannot change the default to say Google UK instead of Google.com which seems to think i'm in one of the Nordic or Germanic countries. (so it delivers horrible not very relevant search results)

Infact, I actually mentioned in my post that I manually added Google UK the search page.

I'd love to be able to set my default to bing but it seems that setting the default search engine is something opera overlooked

That shouldn't need to be done, maybe once the iphone gets multi-tasking I can keep opera open in the background and not have to close it, but the fact is that this was either left out by mistake (pretty big mistake) or this was done intentionally out of greed (google paid them to do it), either way I'm not using opera until it gets fixed.

I thought Opera was all for choice (hence why they're still nagging the EU about the whole ballot thing), they seem pretty two faced to me right now...
