Opera for Mac v10.10 build 6795 not receiving Yahoo mail

I can't get the Opera email client to receive Yahoo mail. I have Thunderbird, Apple Mail, even SeaMonkey, and they all get my Yahoo mail, but not Opera. I have created accounts manually to no avail. I have used the Import Settings from Apple Mail to no avail. Any suggestions? I am running Mac OS X, 10.4.11.

Welcome to the My Opera community!

I have a Yahoo mail account. But, unfortunately, I don't have pop access for it to test. There's a way to get free pop access for a free yahoo account with Thunderbird with a hack. The hack might even be built into Thunderbird now, but not sure. Also not sure about Apple Mail.

Do you actually have a Yahoo plus account (or one yaho account provided through your isp that provides the same level of features)?

I have a Yahoo account through my ISP, and receive mail fine that way ... but standard Yahoo accounts don't include POP forwarding, unless the account is via a partner ISP you have to have a premium account to get that feature ... from Yahoo.com anyway. Some of the foreign versions of Yahoo do provide it for free.

If you have POP forwarding enabled on Yahoo.com and are not getting email, we could compare settings and see where the problem might be. But if you don't have POP forwarding then you need an external program (in Windows something like Mr. Postman or YahooPops) ... and if you're not on Yahoo.com then my settings are probably not useful to you. (I'm willing to try, but no guarantees.)
