Opera Mini for iPhone hangs
First gratz on getting this on the app store. This is a huge deal. I love opera and have used it across every platform I use.That said there is a bug (I'll need to post a formal bug report after this) but in case its been resolved by the community I thought I'd ask here first.
Ok to my issue. basically I went through and edited the file prereskio.ini to add the DefaultServerType=Http to the file. That allowed me to get past the white screen of death. Now I get the main page and the speed dial. BUT when I get to any page or type a url, the app freezes. I have to exit out and thats it. Anyone else encounter this? If so how was it solved? I could not find anything on this (considering the app is less than 24 hours old not too shocked
)The effect is basically the same. I did that as well. I have also followed the other suggestions like turning off 3g and running it off wifi, etc. It just hangs when attempting to browse a page. Loading google.com for instance. Or NYT. The page loads halfway and then just hangs. The browser will shortly crash after that. Not much to it beyond that.
