Tab problem: clicking a link in MSN/IRC/ results in losing ALL open tabs [including locked tabs]

This problem exists since at least version 9.5 [and higher] and even though it's been solved for me with version .51 (for now !), my gf, who runs the exact same version, on the same OS, the problem still persists.

clicking link in MSN sometimes [a LOT of times] results in the loss of ALL open tabs (including locked tabs).

Please please please fix this problem, for a lot of people this is a big problem.

I myself taught me to select links and pasting them in the address bar (I still do this on my linux box too), but this is obviously not a satisfactory solution to a problem this old and this irritating.

Thank you for reading.

Anybody?
It's very irritating.
Please don't start about sessions, they don't work, AND we live on ourselves, so we don't need sessions in our environments.

Self bump once again... [last bump]
Can somebody please explain, or link me to a bug report or whatever?

My gf and myself can't be the only two people who have this problem.

I really wanted my last reply to be the final bump...
ANYBODY know SOME kind of answer?

I am no longer on Windows, and miraculously this behavior stopped for me, but my gf still is on Windows and still has the problem.
This is a support forum, isn't it. Please help !

It's getting very annoying that nobody even take a minute to react. I'm the person who has the problem and getting really sick of it. I have Opera on two computers, one running Windows Vista and one running Windows 7. Windows Vista has the problem, that's why I don't update my Windows 7 computer (which is still running Opera 10.10) because I don't want another crappy Opera browser.

So if anyone would have the decency to reply, I would appreciate it.

Ow btw, I'm his gf.

It has been pointed out to me that I should post the OS used.
Two are updated Vista's [ I guess that's SP1 ], one is Windows 7 and one is an up to date XP [ Service Pack 3? ].

It occurs when clicking on a link in MS Live Messsenger, MSN, GAIM, IRC [ Xchat and mIRC ].

I really hope this is enough info...

Again, I do not have the problem any longer, since I switched to Linux, but both my daughter and my gf still have the problem.

It's been a ....... month.

ALL computers I installed Opera on have the same problem [despite the version, bit depth and OS used].

These are ....... support forums. Support me !

I've purchased Opera a LOT in the past, on all kinds of platforms [including -but not limited to- desktop versions, mini/mobile versions, etc], and I have been using it at least 10 years, I deserve some support.
