How to make Opera mail private
Hi,Just like the title says. I've applied password for Opera prior check/send email but still can read the old email in the folder.
So, does anyone know how? I am using xp home limited user account.
Thanks in advance

Install Opera on an encrypted drive using the Classic Installer. Set Multi User=0 in operaprefs_default.ini to create the profile in the same installation folder. Then your mail will also be on the encrypted drive.
Install Opera again in C:\Program Files\ without any email accounts for other users. If others who share your computer also want private email, then create another encrypted drive for them, and install Opera again on that drive.
I wouldn't consider any other system as properly secure. Opera contains a lot of personal information — contact details, email correspondence, passwords, etc., which will be very useful to anyone who steals your PC. Never mind hiding stuff from your family or friends — thieves will do you a lot more harm if they get hold of this information.

Thanks for the reply.
Yes, there is a saying thieves are smarter than polices. Some people say I don't need to protect Opera mail specifically as I login as a limited user account. Someone could only read the opera mail if he run the program as an administrator. But this brings me to a thought, how if let's say something wrong with my computer and I could not even boot it or login to the windows. In the worst situation, I could only bring the PC to the technician for instance. It would be a problem if he needs to make an installation and therefore login required is as an administrator, opera mail would not be protected.
Regarding encrypted drive, it takes a while as it is a complicated software. First we need to build a drive to be mounted in. The encryption is FAT32 while mine is NTFS. Just wondering if I do this lots of FAT32 encryption in the NTFS drive. Would that affect the performance of my PC particularly the HD in the long run?
Thanks

TrueCrypt is not difficult to use. It creates a container file for each drive that you want to mount, and encrypts the file. The user must enter a secure password every time they start the PC. The file system is NFTS. Encrypting the container file is a one-off process that takes some time depending on the drive size.
