html test

In Html test my Opera 10.10 on ubuntu has typed only 38 points out of 160. I hope that in next version Opera get more points....
The test is made on: html5test . com

Original message:

107 out of 160 on kubuntu 10

I wonder if the test is good, cause it also displays mp3 on my win7 system and I don't think that's correct

Opera 103
FF 102
IE8 13 lol

I am on Win 7 64 though. just wanted to put it out there, Opera needs better html 5 support it seems. acc. to this at least.

Um, the total is 160.

Anyway, while you're right that Chromium is slightly better than Opera in this regard, I think it's important to realize that the stuff Opera implements (i.e. forms) to reach a score similar to Firefox is much more useful than the things Firefox does implement.

Also Chromium may implement INPUT attributes like REQUIRED, but just for fun try it in both 10.10 or 10.50 and Chromium. Refocusing a certain input box without saying that it's required or some such isn't very helpful if you ask me...

An automated test like that doesn't test such implementation details, merely whether it's present in its most basic shape.

Geolocation? Not sure I want that. Privacy issues online are bad enough already. Text level semantic elements? What do those do for me?

In the test builds that had it geolocation was opt-in in Opera.

Also, rather than saying an email address, a URL, etc. are invalid, again, Chromium merely focuses on the INPUT element. Ever since Opera first implemented Web Forms 2.0 like what, 3, 4? years ago, it's been much better, and 10.5x made it less unfriendly looking.

So yeah, as I already said, that number means little to me.
