I just loaded http://www.youtube.com/xl which is youtube for the living room, and it works fine, yet the regular youtube site is still giving me issues
I am having the same problem with 10.51 (32 bit) and updating didn't work.
I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Opera, deleting all youtube related cookies, but was unable to get youtube working as it still prompts me to update. Mozilla worked fine though.
Don't know if its related with this but on some websites the screen update doesn't work either. Having BSplayer video window always on top -settings messes up Opera's display on some pages when screen "passes" the video window. This, along with the youtube problem appeared after updating to 10+.
I hope this will be addressed as it seems I am not alone with this problem. So far the combination of these two problems forced me partially revert back to firefox but I would much rather use Opera.

I'm using Windows 7 32 bit version, so it's not just 64 bit software.
An oddity though, theres a couple vidoes that have the problem only intermitently.

Just refresh the page until it goes away. You don’t need to upgrade
Using WinXPsp2 on a 32bit system.
I had the same thing show up, but I just refreshed the page and it went away, without upgrading to anything

Using a 64-bit browser will not work with pages with Flash in them, because as of right now Flash only supports 32-bit browsers.
Barring that, it seems that the new layout of YouTube is causing problems specifically for Opera users (as well as other browsers, usually old or discontinued).

a few hours was working fine, but now is not working flash.
Windows XP SP3
Opera 10.51
Flash 10.0.45.2
Google must be changing codes.

Hah! thanks for that! Works (albeit its annoying to have to do that) (hmm quote is not showing.... the post a couple up that says refresh the page a couple of times and the video appears)
Nope only worked for one video *sigh Ah well no more YT for me.
I also agree I will give up youtube before I give up Opera.
