New Zoom pop-up doesn't stick to Status bar

Hi everyone,

On my Linux Ubuntu 9.10, the new zoom feature hovers somewhere up the page instead of being attached to the status bar: zoom_floating.png

Using latest build 6312.i386 but I also observed on each previous build since this feature was introduced.
