Opera 10.52 beta 2 Scrolling too fast

Hi!
Everything on my system scrolls at the same speed except for opera.
If I touch the scroll wheel lightly of my mighty mouse, I'm already at the bottom of the page so to speak.
Does anyone have the same problem? This is the main issue preventing me from working with opera on OSX.

This could depend on your settings. Could you please test and see whether you can reproduce this problem on your system’s Guest account? (You can enable the Guest account from System Preferences: Users.)

Yes I have the same problem in the guest account ( on iMac and MacBook both with osx). As I said before: Everything scrolls at the same speed (safari, finder, eclipse IDE) except for opera. It scrolls much much much faster. The scroll speed settings are on default on both systems.

this is the same for the trackpads on the unibody as well.

its very apparent that opera just scrolls at lightspeed compared to others e.g. finder, chrome, safari, word, pages, itunes.

its just wayyy too fast.

It's very nice to finally have smooth scrolling, but yeah, it's a bit too sensitive.

So, any hope for this to be fixed in the (near) future? Or shouldn't I hold my breath p

bigsmile It's cool to see how fast you guys are. Good job! I'm going to test it out on a trackpad soon, but sadly, scrolling with the mighty mouse is still too fast. If you put safari and opera next to each other and compare the following site for example: 'http://tweakers.net/' you'll see that opera is still way too fast.

I just downloaded 10.53, and have the same problem. Noticed it immediately.

Was this fixed or not? I didn't download the development snapshot mentioned above, but maybe I'll try it...

I just downgraded to 10.1 and the scrolling is still too fast. Is this a setting some where, something in a pref file?

The development snapshot of Opera 10.54 (damn, we’re burning through version numbers fast) has the scrolling speed fixes.

I have downloaded build 8352, but the problem still exists with the mighty mouse! (see quote)

Just updated from 10.1 - glad to see it kept all my mail and even better touch tool preferences (got fed up waiting for touchpad gesture support). And, yes, i noticed straigthaway the horribly fast scroll speed. Otherwise seems fine.....

but, back in time, i always updated Opera as soon as a new version was released - no problem (in my Windows using days). In fact, Opera was the ONLY program i'd happily update immediately, rather than wait for all the bugs to be fixed like the 'other' programs apparently inflict on their users.

So, i think i'm saying, you may want to stop for a moment and ask why you're 'burning through version numbers' so fast - I still love Opera, but now i am intentionally NOT upgrading as soon as an update is available. Bit sad.....

Have the same problem, too sensitive scrolling on IMac, 10.53 version. It's annoying.
