Opera Mini iPhone Video issues

I've been unable to view any web videos that are supposedly supported by Opera Mini on my iPhone. Like other posts YouTube videos won't play and don't redirect to a browser etc that can play them. Also MP4 videos aren't playing which play fine through Mercury (another iPhone browser) and Safari. Otherwise I think Opera Mini is an improvement in every other area but for this reason I don't use it.

Any advice or people having similar issues?

Me to have problem with youtube. I can't watch video. I can press button 'watch video' but then browser can't open it (can't connect to). But I'm not IPhone user.

Opera Mini does not support viewing videos inside the browser. However, on other platforms ( eg : Symbian ) it passes on certain mobile supported videos such as YouTube to the built-in browser. This is due to the fact that Opera Mini is more of a compressed web viewer rather than a full browser.

But why won't it pass the video to Android's native browser?

Probably its a bug. Try filling a bug report
