Acid Test For iPhone Browsers: Safari Wins, Opera Fails
Dear editorCan you please fire the retard who wrote this article! The retard doesn't know the different between a browser and a web viewer!
The Acid3 Test is a standardized rendering test of web browsers (both desk and mobile) in which any score under 100 is considered a "failure." As you can see from the above screen caps, Safari on the iPhone gets a perfect 100 -- while the new Opera Mini browser comes in a distant second with 74.
(To put this in perspective: this writer's day-job computer, running IE 6.0 -- yeah, we're not exactly cutting edge here -- scored a 12. A twelve...)
When we reviewed the Opera Mini browser for iPhone, we totally forgot to run this test. Mea maxima culpa.

97 is the correct answer with Opera Mini and more adecvate for mobile devices is wctmb test http://www.w3.org/2008/06/mobile-test/ so let's say that this time is a draw.

Safari fails too. It doesn't match the reference rendering. So the title of the article should be "Safari fails Acid3".

Opera Mini: Yeah, it's 97 - the authors have messed up something.
Safair: it's 100 on my iPhone....
And it still fails to match the reference rendering, so Safari fails. All the rabid Apple fanboys who are going on about how crappy Opera Mini is for not passing do not realize how utterly idiotic they sound, considering this fact.

Regarding transparency http://jsbenchmark.celtickane.com/ looks better (with zoom out) but now http://jsbenchmark.celtickane.com/images/Screenshots.png is partial viewed with zoom in or downloaded.

http://www.w3.org/2008/06/mobile-test/ again. Can anybody confirm that the 12th test fails (red square) because it fails with Bolt also and that is quite odd.
